Frequently asked questions

Here is what people ask most about The Highlands at Blind Bay: where it is, what the lots cost, whether this is lakefront, who is behind it, and how to get in touch. If your question is not here, register below and ask us directly.

Where is The Highlands at Blind Bay?
The Highlands at Blind Bay sits on the south shore of Shuswap Lake, in Blind Bay, British Columbia, about 25 minutes west of Salmon Arm just off the Trans-Canada Highway. The development sits on the hillside above town, with mountain, lake and valley views from nearly every lot.
How many lots are there, and what are they?
The Highlands at Blind Bay is a 60-lot development of fully serviced, lake-view building lots. Phase 3 — Now Selling. Lot sizes and outlooks vary by location on the property, and roads, power and water are already in at the lot line, so there is no servicing work left to do before you build.
What do the lots cost?
Single-family view lots run from about $197,000 to $309,000, with two larger multi-family parcels. The full price list, with each lot’s size, view and price, is published on the Lots for Sale page. Prices are current as of August 2026 and subject to change.
Can I buy land only, or land plus a build?
Both. Every lot can be bought on its own, or paired with a move-in-ready build plan from Blind Bay Homes. Buy the land and build on your own timeline with your own architect and builder, or hand the whole project to a team that has worked this shoreline for decades.
Is this lakefront property?
No. These are lake-view lots, not lakefront. The development sits up on the hillside above Blind Bay, where the elevation is what gives most lots their long lake, valley and mountain outlook. If direct waterfront is what you are after, this is not that product, but the view from up here is exactly what draws a lot of buyers.
Who is the developer?
The Highlands at Blind Bay is being built by a developer with more than fifty years of building history on the Shuswap. That long local track record is a big part of why the lots are fully serviced and ready to build on from day one, rather than a promise on a map.
How far is Blind Bay from Salmon Arm, Kelowna and Calgary?
Salmon Arm is about 25 minutes away. Kelowna is roughly an hour and 50 minutes by car. Calgary is a scenic six-and-a-half-hour drive east on the Trans-Canada, which is part of why so many Alberta families already keep a place on the Shuswap.
What's nearby: golf, marina, trails and skiing?
Boating and the marina are about 5 minutes away, championship golf is about 10 minutes, and trails and pickleball are within walking distance. Alpine skiing is about an hour away. It adds up to a four-season setup without having to drive far for any of it.
Is The Highlands a good place to retire?
The Highlands at Blind Bay is welcoming to any buyer, not just one life stage. Retirees and second-home owners are drawn to the pace and the amenities, and the same golf, marina, trails and short drive to Salmon Arm work just as well for families and remote workers.
